Connecticut School Shooting

Actually shed a few tears when I first saw how horrendous this has turned out to be. Prayers for all affected by this tragedy. No mercy on this man's soul! Satan himself can't devise an eternity as horrific as what the shooter deserves.

I'm sure right now there are interviews in the poorest taste being conducted. 'Experts' being questioned. I'm sure the religous zealots will be claiming had God been in schools this wouldn't have happened.

Gun control enthusiasts simply use this as additional proof of their cause.
Candle-light vigils will be held. Donations will be made. Nancy Grace will have her 45 minute segment to rant on about as she talks with one side of her mouth.


Above all else, this is the definition of tragedy. There is no greater evil then malice with no reason and no purpose. Especially when its targeted to the most innocent of our society.

I have several people (women) who are teachers in my family and one on the local board of education. Another terrible perspective is that I can only imagine the horror of trying to return to class not to see young students you grow to love.

If there is a Hell, rotting there isn't nearly close enough a just punishment for this.

This particular shooting really has me shaken up. I must admit that I have been saddened by other shootings similar to this that have occurred in the past, but this one has really hit home. Maybe it's because my daughter is the same age as these kindergarten kids that lost their lives or maybe it's the fact that the victims in this shooting are so young, I suppose it really doesn't matter why. I'm just thankful my children are home safe tonight. I hope it always stays that way. I can't imagine anything worse than dropping my five year old girl off at school, kissing her goodbye, watching her walk into her classroom with a smile on her face and that being the last memory I have of her alive.

Not to post something that probably belongs in the political forums, but if THIS isn't enough to enrage this country and take a long hard look at some of our laws, I don't know what will.
That's all I have to say about that.
