Confirmed: Tommy Bowden--Win Thursday or be bought out

Not that I disagree with what the Harper's feel, but... I mean sometimes you have to bear the onus silently to come out with the moral high ground.
Given the allegation that Cullen Harper wasn't even told he'd been benched until after Tommy mentioned it to reporters, if those quotes are the most scathing comments he and his family have towards Bowden, then I'd say they're going easy on him.

how would you feel if todd b aired laundry. he allegeledly didnt know until the game started that he wasnt the starter...

i agree often times the moral high road is best. though, sometimes wrastlin the hog in the mud galvanizes the team...

I think that's an apples/oranges comparison. Deciding who will start on game-day based on situation such as field position, in light of the fact you've just proven you'll run two QBs the week before, is a far cry from Tressel walking into one of his Tuesday press conferences and announcing a new 2-deep for the following week and not having told the players.

Just to add to that.. I heard something similar.. I was told that Todd's family expected him to play much more than two snaps during TP's first start.. the guy who told me seemed a little bothered.

/not taking sides here

EDIT: I do have a question about Clemson. Is Korn still the starter? Bowden named Korn the starter, but I didn't know if anything had changed since he was fired.

my point was. todd took the high road. i have so much respect for him due to that. that wasnt the easy road and it certainly is the road less traveled. from what has been out there he hasnt packed it in. he still puts in his time, practices hard and supports his team, the entire team. classy move.

similar jz did the same thing. but i mentioned wrasting the muddy hog, troy took that approach and it galvanized the team no doubt. not saying its the wrong thing, just that it has a blatantly polarizing effect. and thus im not sure that the boeckman thing didnt have a polarizing effect im saying that the boeckman/zwick route is the one id wish my own child to take...

ESPN - Tommy Bowden's firing no surprise for 3-3 Tigers - ACC

Comments from RB CJ Spiller

"I enjoyed playing for coach Bowden and I liked him, but in the end he was yelling at us to be leaders and it wasn't working," running back C.J. Spiller told ESPN's Joe Schad. "He did all he could to motivate us, but guys weren't buying into what he was saying.

"He let the offensive coordinator [Rob Spence] run the show and we got away from me and James [Davis]," Spiller said. "I think part of the problem was when he benched Cullen. Some people wanted the offensive coordinator fired, he fired the quarterback and then he got fired."

if ive learned anything dont cheap on the brakes, go to the dealer. they put on crappy pads once and it was a pain. ill overpay to go the dealer...

also, pay money for good tires also.

or you could put the brakes on yourself. it's very easy, even for non-gearheads.

James Davis was not a fan of this decision.

Kinda feel bad for the kid. :(
I could not believe how broken up he was and you could tell those tears were for real. Kids seem to get the shaft when this type of things happen. Like you, I feel sorry for James.
