Some guy makes a portrait of Conan out of Cheetos, pretty impressive.

Leno better watch his back--that Cheetos cat has been manifesting a pretty vengeful side lately.

More on the late night wars as Leno is snitching on Kimmel to Oprah.

I caught Kimmel's show that night--one plus from the J Vs. C debacle--I've been converted after years of deliberately ignoring Kimmel. He's been a scream through all this. I'm a fan now.

#131 Conan O’Brien ? Stuff White People Like
The recent news that Conan O’Brien will be replaced by Jay Leno has caused white people to erupt with rage and hostility. You might even expect them to lash out and do something about it like take to the streets or write a letter to NBC to voice their dissatisfaction with the network. But no, white people will solve this problem the way that they solved the election crisis in Iran – through Facebook and Twitter status updates. In 2009, millions of white people took 35 seconds to turn their twitter profiles green, and consequently sent a very powerful message to the leaders of Iran. Their message was that they wanted their friends to know that they would stop at nothing to ensure freedom and democracy for the Iranian people. Thanks in large part to that effort Iran is now completely democratic. With that issue settled, white people are launching a similar campaign for Conan that is sure to have similar results.

It is not hard to understand why white people love Conan O’Brien, he embodies so many of the things they already like before he even opens his mouth: Ivy League Schools, Red Hair, the Boston Red Sox, Self Deprecating Humor, The Simpsons, and Bad Memories of High School (likely, but not confirmed). Seeing him on television five nights a week is a comforting reminder of community to the white people who still have televisions.

Conan's lone Twitter followee: ?It's totally nuts? Out-of-work talk show host chose woman as the only person he'd follow
By Mike Householder
The Associated Press
updated 7:09 p.m. ET, Wed., March. 10, 2010

CONWAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Last week, Sarah Killen had three Twitter followers.
This week, she has 20,000 ? as well as a new iMac computer and offers to help pay for a dress and drinks for her wedding.
The unsuspecting rural Michigan woman has one out-of-work late-night talk show host to thank for her newfound online popularity ? Conan O'Brien.
O'Brien decided last week to pick Killen as the only person he would follow on Twitter, turning the 19-year-old's life upside down.

Conan O'Brien takes late night show to TBS

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Ousted "Tonight Show" host Conan O'Brien will return to late-night television in November with a show on cable channel TBS, the network said Monday.

O'Brien's talk show will air weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT, leading into "Lopez Tonight" which will shift to a midnight start, TBS said.

"In three months I've gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I'm headed to basic cable," O'Brien said in a news release. "My plan is working perfectly."

I wonder how this is going to work for him? I heard a good point on the radio yesterday. The 11PM time slot could hurt him since he will be going up against The Daily Show, which has a similar audience. At least he will have a half hour before Leno and Letterman.
On the radio today they said that he was pulling 3 million viewers on the Tonight Show. Lopez gets 1.5 mil on TBS and Leno had 5 mil a year ago before all of this. I wonder what they'll judge to be successful ratings on TBS?

It's simple really. People who like jokes about masturbating bears will watch Conan, people who like jokes about masturbating politicians will watch The Daily Show.

I know NBC owns the rights to the Masturbating Bear character (aren't they proud?!) - but I couldn't let that quip go to waste.

But the Daily Show is aired about 185404 times throughout the day. For Conan fans, I think they'd watch him at 11 & DVR the Daily Show at one of the other plentiful time slots.
