Here comes the BOOM
LOL at Hester being just as fast as Beanie. Beanie has somewhere around 10 pounds on the guy and is still faster.

I know! Beanie could be a lineman. Have any of you seen him up close? He is one big guy!Sportsbuck28;1038091; said:LOL at Hester being just as fast as Beanie. Beanie has somewhere around 10 pounds on the guy and is still faster.

Oops. Just to clarify, this was the ESPN stats page, where they only go 2 deep, that I used.Coqui;1038040; said:
That was actually Mark Richt's lone point when discussing LSU v. OSU with Colin Cowherd last week. Something like, "One thing you notice when you step on the field with them... they are BIIIG."Originally Posted by GeauxTigers99

Inside of two weeks now. Will be interesting to see if the Buckeyes can stop Hester. I saw 4 or 5 LSU games and their OLine constantly seemed to seal off just enough between guard and center and he'd get passed LB's and into the secondary.

The Buckeyes have the best defense they will have seen this year. I saw their games with KY, MS, Va Tech, AR, FL, TN, AL (okay 7)--all on tv. Va Tech plays defense, but I think that game was an aberration where the opposition was simply ill-prepared, and the next best D on their schedule might be Auburn. In fact, with LSU's and FL's defenses victimized by injuries, Auburn may well have been the one SEC team with a strong defense. After seeing LSU's D in games like the Bama game, where they gave up 27 points, it's surprising they are still ranked 3rd in total defense. So with Dorsey healthy, we will likely see the top 2 defenses on the field.smith403;1038597; said:Just wondered...which 4 or 5 games did you see (tv or in person)...I think the opponent (tOSU) will make a difference in stopping Hester:osu:
Yep, I thought it was a bit lame for him to ignore OSU's collective size, while heaping praise on LSU for their size. Earth to Coach Richt: LSU and OSU are both pretty much in the large range when considering players' size. I realize he's an SEC coach but he should have known he was on a slippery slope if he was trying to make a point. Judging from their rosters, the two teams look evenly matched size-wise. Wouldn't a Big10 coach have been more diplomatic? (Of course I could care less what Richt said...but it's noteworthy.)Originally Posted by smith403
