Coming Soon (New Movies)

I really liked it. Thought it was very well-done in many ways. Wasn't the most original, but that doesn't mean it wasn't very good.

The odd behavior by fans is awkward.

"Blue cat people" is a lame reason not to see it if that's the only reason. :p

Blue cat people is just a sign of intellectual laziness on the part of the writer.

It's been one of the lamest sci-fi tropes for decades (the fantasy equivalent usually being elves).

There are just so many bad cliches in the film.

There are so many absolutely brilliant sci-fi stories over the past 50 years that it's a bit depressing that Hollywood continually seems bound & determined to saddle us with the exact same trite stories over and over again.

http://www.deadline.com/2011/01/bon...d-sam-mendes-set-for-nov-9-2012-release-date/
...the 23rd James Bond film will have a worldwide release on November 9, 2012 -- just as Deadline last month reported it would. Daniel Craig will be returning as the legendary British secret agent, with Sam Mendes directing a screenplay written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. That script is being kept under wraps but the story begins after Quantum Of Solace leaves off. The reason for the 007 delay is this: Broccoli and Wilson had been in pre-production on Bond #23 for release in 2011 but then it took almost a year for MGM's future to sort itself out what with the failed auction sale of the studio, then the pre-packaged bankruptcy getting approval, and eventually Spyglass taking over studio filmmaking.

News on the next Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises... Tom Hardy will play Bane and Anne Hathaway will be the Catwoman.

I've never seen anything Christopher Nolan has done that I haven't liked, but... the fucking Catwoman? :so:

EDIT: I just have this very negative view of Catwoman after that POS Halle Berry movie.

I was never a Catwoman fan. Rachel Dawes is dead - the Bruce character needs a new love interest. I have no issue with Hathaway. She's a decent enough young actress with a great body

Not sure how he plans to pull the Bane thing off. The beauty of Begins and TDK are a sense of dark realism. Bane was a creation of 'venom' experiments.
I would have gone the Riddler, Dr. Hugo Strange, Penguin, Harley Quinn (maybe a bit tacky considering Ledger's demise) or even Black Mask.

I've been a huge Batman fan since I was a kid. So I'm praying this isn't somehow screwed up. I loved the first two Spiderman films, and when they finally worked up the balls to put my 3rd favorite villain in the movie (Venom) they completely botched the story and character.

Hoping Nolan can produce better...
