Wasn't whining, dipshit. Was pointing out how losing that game (a game that most expected us to win and a game we definitely belonged in) is more of a disappointment than the Destroyers losing in the AFL title game when they really had no business being there.

I'm disappointed that we as a state have not cashed in when it comes to these opportunities to be champions that's all plain and simple. Everyone of our teams did great, had tremendous seasons, and great moments/players, but they lost in the biggest game on the greatest stage every time this year.....that is the definition of disappointment for me. I'm still proud of my teams and my state, I'm just tired of losing such big games that's all.

The browns are a definition of disappointment to me, while it's bitter sweet as fuck, happy to have a good amount of my teams be in the top tier

I agree with what your saying. I just am saying that I personally am tired of seeing my teams get to the highest of highs and not pull through....it just really sucks thats all.

Mike and Mike talked about the accomplishment of being in all of these championship games. Only two teams get to the finals... Look at the big picture= NCAAF + NCAAB + NBA + Arena = the second best out of some 300 teams!!!!

Lest we forget about our National Champion fencing team...or the 4 swimmers going to compete in the Bejing Olympics.

Who else said we were an "also ran" program? We are one of the elite schools in the nation and Ohio had a lot of successful teams this past year. Still sucks to be #2 so much in one year that's all.....why is this so hard to take? I'm not saying you have to feel the way I do.....this is just my opinion. No biggie.

Quarterback Nagy agrees to two-year deal with Destroyers

It is unlikely defensive back Jerald Brown will be back with the Destroyers next season. If he does return, it probably would be at a much-reduced salary. Coming off a surprising 2006 season in which he was named the Arena Football League's defensive player of the year, Brown made a whopping $113,000 this season.

Arena football: Cleveland, Destroyers division foes

NEW YORK (AP) -- With the relocation of the Las Vegas franchise to Cleveland, the Arena Football League realigned its divisions.

The National Conference East will have five teams in 2008 with the addition of Cleveland, which joins Columbus, Dallas, Philadelphia and New York. The National South has Georgia, New Orleans, Orlando and Tampa Bay.
With Las Vegas leaving the American West, that division has Arizona, Los Angeles, Utah and AFL champion San Jose. In the American Central are Chicago, Colorado, Grand Rapids and Kansas City.

Destroyers' signing reunites receiver with quarterback

The Columbus Destroyers have signed free agent receiver Derek Lee, who had 326 receptions for 3,547 yards and 79 touchdowns in three seasons with the Georgia Force, where he played with Destroyers quarterback Matt Nagy in 2005 and 2006.

A couple of television-camera crews seemed downright exuberant yesterday, all because they got a clip of Justin Zwick throwing a touchdown pass in a scrimmage. In some sorry way, this is what passes for arena football fever in Columbus, a shot of a former Ohio State quarterback making a nice pass for the Columbus, uh, Destroyers in a practice game against Chicago on media day.

Been to a bunch of destroyer games since they moved to columbus and I must say they are a blast. It will be interesting to see how the team performs this year after their playoff run. I really wish zwick coulda made the team but oh well.
