If you're the CBJ - you have virtually no chance to resign Crybaby Bitch errr I mean Johansen after next year and you're able to get a legit top-4 Dman who absolutely could develop into a top-pair guy, you do this 100 times out of 100. Johansen hasn't been the same since his holdout and for a coach he allegedly loved in Richards, he showed up fat and unmotivated this year and it showed. I'd honestly wouldn't be shocked to see him either go on a scoring streak or start playing so badly that Nashville tries to trade him at the end of the season. I don't think there is an in-between.

I am on cloud-nine about this trade. For us to get someone like Seth Jones to pair with Murray (if he can stay healthy) and Werenski in the future is amazing. I am shocked Nashville would trade Jones to be honest. Besides, if we get Mathews at the top of the upcoming draft then we solve the Ryjo problem long term. That is an "if" of course, but simply getting Jones makes this team better in the long-term especially because Ryjo's days were numbers.
