As much as it seems he's done a pretty decent job drafting and in trades, the org still has jack shit to show for it. Jarmo seems to have a knack for pissing off everyone he negotiates with and managed to top that by hiring a shitbird like Babcock. Absolutely a necessary move.

JD can hold down the fort until a proper hire can be made then they should take him out back and Old Yeller his ass, too.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out at the trade deadline.

I'm sure they are going to get offers for guys like Provorov and Danforth and maybe Roslovic and Gudbranson....I'd listen to calls about Gudreau too.

If they can find a sucker to take Merlikins too that would be great to get out from under some of that awful contract.

Yeah, I wouldn't put many guys in the untouchable category right now. Chinakov, Fantilli, Johnson, Marchenko, Sillinger (maybe), Voronkov, Tarasov, Werenski, Jiricek. I would hate to see Boone go, but for the right price. I'm not saying give the rest away, but I'd at least be listening.

More than anything, I think a new coach should be priority one for the new GM.
