Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

I would have thought the same thing a few days ago but after they won the game after blowing their 3-0 lead in just 3 minutes I have a little bit of hope if Seth Jones can get his legs back.

I'm more worried about the scoring myself.

A lot of their scoring comes from the grind it out style and the cycle. That takes a serious toll on the forwards even in normal circumstances.

Sorry guys....this one's on me. I was helping a buddy build a tree house last night. After calling it quits and cleaning up, I turned on the TV to see this game was still on? wtf?

I watched about 20 seconds and then it was over.
I watched that game for SIX HOURS. Where are the red rubies when you need them.

One other thing I noticed from last night. The ONLY forward - actually the only player in the entire game - to not get a shot on goal was Atkinson. Even if we remove the breakaway, he needs to be shooting more and putting it on the net. He's the highest paid forward for a reason. Tampa did a good job keeping him bodied up and as we saw last year against Boston, if you get physical with him, he struggles to work himself free. Hell even Gerbe found ways to get free a times.

This where they miss Anderson - they need the big phyiscal forwards to create room for the little guys like Atkinson.
