Really happy the Jackets were able to extend both goalies. Both are starter quality, with Merzlikins having the edge. But being able to transition away from Bob without a massive drop off is huge for Columbus sustaining success.

Re: Grigorenko returned to his native Russia to play in the KHL where he's played for perennial powerhouse CSKA Moscow for the past three seasons. He found his game, and on Monday agreed to terms with the Blue Jackets on a one-year, one-way contract worth $1.2M for the 2020-21 season. According to GM Jarmo Kekalainen, he's been on the Blue Jackets' radar since 2018.
Just sayin': Former 1st round pick, now 25 years old, a solid KHL player, and helped OAR (Olympic Athletes from Russia) capture the Gold Medal at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics; he's worth taking $1.2M "flier" on.

Just sayin'; I hope that's true. It's amazing how many former players (including some very high priced free agents) didn't......

Well, the Blue Jackets are in with a #9 seed. Are all of the injured players (Bjorkstrand, Atkinson, Jones, Kukan, Texier, Anderson, and Dubinsky) healthy now?

I could be wrong but I believe the majority of them would be back. Jones would be the absolute most important return
