I’m still trying to figure out just what in the hell Stamkos was trying to do on that Anderson goal. I would assume he was trying to fill the left side of the goal, to prevent the obvious wrist shot destination, but you’ve gotta let your goalie (who probably ends up winning the Vezina this year) make that save on his own. Not a smart decision by Stamkos, either way.

He can do that shit for three more games, though.

You had a forward on a power play playing defenseman and not being very good at it. He needed to hit the brakes about a stride earlier so he wasn't in the goalies way. Savard did an excellent job in crashing the net and then screening the goalie and anderson cutting between the dots and then being able to hit the net with the shot were huge.

When he tries to force stuff he makes mistakes. He's a lot like Fedorov in his early years, good skater (Feds was better), lots of skill but when he tries to hard shit goes haywire. The CBJ need to continue to crash the net and skate well and put more pressure on Tampa's defensemen.

Keep using that huge speed advantage. Hell, even Foligno outskated the defense for a goal, and he isn’t particularly fast, but a really solid skater.
