Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

It is time for a shakeup.

Give the C to Moreau. Hell make a trade for a playmaker instead of trading garbage for picks and minor leaguers who never pan out. Something.

Zach Parise is available. Go get him. He's an upgrade over everyone on the roster except for Nash.

Absolutely. Parise would absolutely be an upgrade. Nothing but junk on this roster right now. I'd say that Nash is the only guy that should be out of the conversation. Filatov, Mason, Umberger (I'd hate to lose him, but...). Any of the young guys. Klesla might fetch something.

You watch 24/7 w the Pens and Caps and you see Chimera playing for the Caps. He has to be thanking his lucky stars he got out of Columbus.

EDIT Sean Couturier is the projected number one pick this year. He's a center and a play maker. Like I said, either get busy trading or get busy REALLY sucking to get that number one pick.

From what I've heard, there are a handful of players at the top of this draft that should be very good NHLers and contribute right away.

I'd like to see them go after Adam Larsson from the SEL. Already has experience playing in a professional league and looks to be great. I've heard he's the best defensive prospect since Lidstrom. :yow1:

I think that's probably exaggerated a bit, but Johansen looked really good at the WJC and could make the team next year. Larsson could come in and contribute right away from the blue line from the looks of it. Honestly though, I just want the Jackets to get a guy who doesn't need much development. They've literally never developed a player.

An NHL source on Twitter reported that the Jackets were pretty much going to get Jack Johnson from LA, but the Kings made a final push to sign him and came to an agreement.

:(

He would've been exactly what the Jackets needed.. and the deal he signed was awesome for the Kings.. he probably signed it so he'd stay in LA.

That's some leverage. Sign this contract or we'll trade you to Columbus.

No [Mark May].

Luca Brazzi putting the gun to the band leader's head. Either your brains or your signature will be on that contract.

Nice to see that Columbus is so appealing to top level talent.

solid win tonight, but still looked soft at some points during the game.

what was up with the shot juice took in overtime. i swear to god, from my vantage point it looked like the puck snuck into the top right corner of the net, but i guess not? anyone who was right there or watching it on tv wanna explain what happened there? i was baffled.

anyways, lets just hope they can keep riding high going to the joe tomorrow night (and also hope they build a 3 goal lead since they keep blowing 2 goal leads)

was the solid part beating a injury depleted team at the end of the road trip. I hope you guys miss the playoffs to let a deserving team in.

If you want me to list the all star team were missing i will.

Oh you're right, no other hockey teams are ever missing players... :shake:

really??? go look at the list. It not 1 2 3 4 its like 9 guys, that are good role players.

3rd string goalie in tonight....Solid :!

Whatever makes you feel better...but I would say that vagscratchery about injuries is unbecoming of fans of a team that has been the standard bearer of the division since the division was created. I doubt they are making excuses in the locker room, knowing the Red Wings and their attitude about excellence.

:roll1:

Yeah, it's a bad win for a team struggling right now when they beat a division rival in front of a home crowd, especially when the CBJ fans pledged to donate over $5,000 in charity for a win.

Pretty not-solid win. Good example of why I've always hated the Wings. Doesn't usually involve the players.

Sorry for having an opinion, is this Iraq?

01/15/11 Tomas Holmstrom LW Hand
01/14/11 Jimmy Howard G Knee
01/10/11 Pavel Datsyuk C Wrist
01/10/11 Chris Osgood G Groin
01/08/11 Brad Stuart D Jaw
12/31/10 Daniel Cleary RW Ankle
11/28/10 Mike Modano C Wrist

These are not sprains or brusies. They are all broken bones, except howard.

No one important here.

Have fun beating our 3rd Goalie again tonight.

Grand Rapids Red Wings tonight :)

Dude, Really?

They have given up 5 goals tonight. the last one game against Z and Lidstrom and Rafalski...not the 7th stringers who have actually been playing pretty well.....
