Team looked a lot better in person than they did in this thread I guess. :lol:

They were too passive at times, but they pushed the play at certain points in the game and really looked good. Defense played really active tonight too. Brassard had some really nice plays along the boards in the defensive zone to get the puck out of the zone. Thought he looked good tonight.

This team is in desperate need of some defensive help right now.

Also, the officiating as far as the Columbus Blue Jackets go has become almost comical. There is a CLEAR double standard at work. I know that calls usually even themselves out, but there is no chance of the officiating evening itself out as far as the Blue Jackets go.

Speaking of the officiating, it's being reported that one of the refs last night made a crying face and gave the finger to section 109.

Do your fucking job and you won't have to worry about getting booed. And it shouldn't bother you anyways, you should be used to it by now.. fucking refs.

Reminds me of a basketball game in college I was at, when it was terrible officiating, but only a few fans were saying shit...then the ref actually stopped the game and tossed out a fan, right in the middle of a possession. Well, needless to say, for the rest of the game, he was mercilessly verbally assaulted by about 15,000 fans for the rest of the game, discussing his penchant for mixing rufies with blow with goats with his mom, and everything in between. It just makes it worse when refs are unprofessional asstards.

It wasn't me, I swear!!! :paranoid:

Devorski is a twat waffle anyway. That piece of shit has always been a terrible ref and you KNOW he holds grudges against players in the way he calls games. It's not just a CBJ thing.

7-0 Minnesota power plays supports this. There were some obvious missed calls. And by some, I mean at least four.

What I am also trying to say is that it's not just Devorski. The NHL has a credibility crisis when it comes to its officiating and it's not just a CBJ issue. At all.

Agreed.

I don't want to sound like the Penguins fan bitching about the refs, even though that's kind of what I'm going to do, just because I have a good example.

Matt Cooke has received a lot of calls this year based on reputation.. because there is no other reason. They need to just call the fucking games as they see them and get rid of their biases. Believe it or not, penalties affect games.
