Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Jackets showed signs of life late in the 3rd and I was glad to see that. A lot of teams would have packed it in some time ago.

Detroit, while also the better team (I think that's obvious by now), is still getting every break... the one that comes to mind from last night was when the puck got behind Ozzie, and Nash and company are poking at it.... nothing (also a great reaction by Stuart to get in there and get it out)..... Detroits first goal too... although, that could have easily been a Jackets goal if the Jackets ever crashed the net...

I was mad last night, but the Jackets did play hard. Detroit is that good right now and Columbus isn't able to compete.

If they continue on this pace I don't see anyone beating the Wings (and I've watched at least one game in every series going right now). Some may disagree. Just my opinion.

Very disappointing as I very much believed that the Jackets could make this an interesting series with their style of play. Detroit got labeled a finesse team and I bought into it. They have turned into a very physical play off team and I think that Columbus never recovered from their surprise at that.

You aren't going to push this Wings team around and take them out of their game. They are answering the physical play and showing they can win that game and if you want to try and skate with them they'll win that way too.

Sign Nash and keep this core of young players together. Get a center and some puck moving d men and get better for next year.

EDIT I don't know if any of that last line is possible, but it'd be nice wouldn't it??

Not even the power of the 'fro could overcome the cursed jerseey I wore. That fucker is going in the garbage. :sad2:

On the other hand, I was briefly on television looking thoroughly disgruntled after the Jackets finally scored.

I saw you, if anyone has the game recorded you can see Mr. Katt in all of his Commodore glory with about 3:53 left in the game. Nice Robe!
