Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

I do too, except Commodore is supposed to be a leader on this team, he has to keep his head. Maybe one crosscheck wasn't going to get called, but once he hit him the 2nd and especially the 3rd time in the face, well, that's not what you need going into the last stretch of the season.

Agreed. Gotta keep your composure. He was probably lucky not to get another penalty when he chased him behind the net and gave him a couple more shots.

Jeeez. Williams has the puck behind the net with a chance to feed a guy in the slot. Fans on the pass then feeds a Detroit player for a 2-on-1 the other way. Damn....

and yes I agree that's a weak call on Peca

Yowza. Probably amused him even less since he thought they missed a couple tripping calls in the first period.

Hard to believe these are the same two teams that played last week. The Jackets can't get anything going.

Having Holmstrom and Hossa healthy makes a HUGE difference...

and Detroit is playing without Filipula tonight too....he's their 2nd line centerman most nights...

No doubt. Watching the Detroit PP last week, it was remarkable what a difference it made not having him planted in front of the net.

But the defensive coverage is light years better, too.

part of that is helped by having your regular lines....part of it is that game (and the Calgary game earlier this past week) served as a wakeup call for these guys I think....

That and Babcock opened up the goaltender job for the playoffs specifically because of this game coming up with the CBJ....

shutout Ozzie :groove:

That said, don't be worried about this game. The last game Detroit played Columbus when Detroit was at mostly full strength it was a 3-0 game in Detroit. Detroit has hit their March stride again I think.
