Keep this in mind.
Hawaii beat Colorado 34-17
UNLV lost to Washington State 59-7 and to Wisconsin 51-17
UNLV beat Hawaii 40-20
Colorado is not a good football team, probably worse than Toledo.

Hawaii had 6 turnover against the Rebels. don't let the one outlier fool you.
UNLV = sucks on wheels.

Ralphie's entrance is one of my favorite traditions in college football outside of Columbus.

Seeing reporter Jim Knox get knocked on his ass is just a bonus.

Dear Buckeyes,

It pains me to write to you today, but I have a good heart. Maybe that explains why I am going to ask you for clemency this week for my old friends the Buffaloes. In fact, that must be the reason.

It surely couldn't be the fact that they were a thorn in the side of all Nebraska (literally ? look at our panhandle) for the past 20 years. Certainly it's not because of the horrific treatment doled out to Nebraska players and fans whilst visiting Boulder (see: clearing of the CU student section in 2005). Definitely it's not because they attempted to artificially manufacture a "rivalry" against us and then acted like a woman scorned when we explained, "We don't like you in that way."

No, mostly it's because, despite the fact that Colorado and Colorado Fan are insufferable, and despite the fact that they have a wildly over-inflated sense of self-worth, and despite the fact that they missed no opportunity to rub every one of their nine wins against us (in the past 50 years) in our faces - despite the fact that they've never been anything more to us than the annoying kid brother clamoring for attention and approval, we have to recognize that they do, in fact, have brass balls.

Why? Because they took a stand. They decided that they were not going sit on their ass while the events that affect them unfolded to determine the course of their future. They took a stand, and they defended it against Dan Beebe and his stooges in Texas. They kicked in the grill of Beebe's Ferrari (Texas) and left the Big XII - before Nebraska, if you recall.

That took balls. That took guts. That took more courage than anything we've seen from them during the course of our shared memberships in the Big 8 and Big XII.

I respected them for that, and I probably always will, despite all the trouble they caused us over the years.

So, out of that respect, I ask you to please take it easy - somewhat - on the Buffs Saturday. Please don't utterly humiliate them. Please don't leave their battered, bruised bodies strewn about the Shoe. When you beat them - and you will - please don't beat them down. Just this time. Just this once.

Thanks for listening.

You would have to travel far and wide to find a fanbase that is less engaged and cares less about their team, football, school pride, etc. I would be surprised if they have 50 non-family fans attending the game in Columbus. And those folks should be forwarned, there are no medicinal mj dispensaries in Clumbis.

lololol EXACTLY this

There's the rub. I don't think Buff fans actually watch college football. I don't think they realize how inept we looked Saturday night.

Pretty much correct. Most Buff fans that go to the game to actually see the team are alums, and I'd estimate the entire student section is incapacitated* and has not seen the first half of a game since, oh idk, 1991-ish?

*yeah, already. fridays off!

Confirmed one of the most exhilarating places to be on Saturday. Folsom and Boulder are absolutely beautiful on game day, and Ralphie doesn't disappoint.

I live in Boulder and was raised 15 minutes from campus. Most of my best friends went to CU (who have since graduated, have season tickets and are still complete train wrecks) and I even took some classes there after tOSU. One of my best friends interned with their football program recently. It's a fantastic university in a gorgeous place with interesting, friendly, happy people (read: hippies!). I would be extremely proud to send my children here.

That said, they're in the dumps and are not good. They have some athletes (Stewart is small, shifty and very quick; Hansen can scramble a little bit and make some plays), but tOSU is hands down the favorite multiple times over any way you slice it. Even if they play like they did last week, it would be closer but still not enough to make it a real game. But I'll say these kids (Buffs) know full well they're walking right into a lion's den. This coaching staff is determined to run things right around here though, and you won't see them quit.

And, let's not forget, every Buckeye should have a very special place in their heart for the University of Colorado at Boulder:

(Pasted over from Joe's thread)

Now that Brax is starting, I hope we can allow Joe a little "off" time. He had a terrible game last week and didnt handle it well. Lets move on to supporting Brax and if Joe gets into the game show the same type of support. Its all well and good to critique a guy but lets take a break now and get positive again. The program needs its fans as much as we need the program right now. Be positive again and take this week as a new opportunity to Buck Up and support our boys. Each and every one on the roster.

New QB. New season. Lets get loud on Saturday and lift our boys to a big win and get back to playing some Buckeye football!!

:oh:

...and winter's cold...

I'm prepared to give the Buckeyes the home field advantage they need and deserve this Saturday. Nobody can be sure what this game will bring, but if it brings out a lot of negative hateful vibes from the fans, then shame on us.

Those going to the game need to make sure Colorado feels like they are playing against 105,000 people, not just eleven. And we definitely need to make sure that the Buckeyes don't feel like they are the ones playing against 105,000 people.

A few bad decisions from a few people have put this team in a tough place, but those people will not be out on the field this Saturday. Those who will deserve our full support.

It's times like these when the Buckeyes need their fans!
