Easy, they got smoked again by their biggest rival who happened to be the best team in the country again.

For it to be considered a rivalry don't you have to win every once in a while?

i gettin sick of the media sucking usc's dick. Fucking if there #1 in every god damn catergory they should go undefeated and not allow a first down all year. Fuck CFN and its couch

Yeah, that usually happens when you win two straight national championships....... Look, I hate USC as much as the other guy, but make better statements than this......provide evidence as to why they should not be ranked so high.....it's a pretty baseless argument until then............

Actually ND has gone 13-6-1 in the last 20 years against USC.

As for going by strickly numbers ND 's offense should be ranked higher than OSU's as well as the QB position.

And as far as the offensive line at OSU being stronger well we will see as ND has every linemen back. Actually the entire offeense is back with Charlie calling all of the plays so you can see my optimism.

NDC, here's to starting the season 1-5 . I really think it'll be 0-6, but you might squeak one out.

last time I checked ND doesn't have Ted Ginn to lineup at RB. OSU's OL trumps ND's too. So your 4 ypc RB (vs our 5 ypc RB) running behind a weaker OL without great QB & Ath running possibilities... is why you are better than us?
1) Why would Ted Ginn line up at TB?

2) ND's OL is solid...tOSU's has potential, but has not done a thing in two years.

3) Brady Quinn is a very solid QB and Charlie Weis will make him better

I know it is Chief and ND, but let's at least stay somewhat objective for the sake of intelligent football discussion.

Last year the OSU running game was horrible. There was multiple discussions on this site discussing the problems with our running game (Did Ross get too big, is he running into tackles, is it the OL, is it the play-calling, etc.). This year we do have questions about who is going to step up and be an every down back. We have 3 backs coming in that all have potential. One thing we all know for sure is we have a much better OL coming into this year with great experience and an experienced GROUP of QBs. Another thing to consider is with the top group of WRs in the nation, we should be spreading the ball out a lot more and opening up more holes for the running game. Who cares about ND and their running game anyway. Last I checked, we won't be playing them in the regular season and I would put money they won't be invited to the bowl game we are heading to.

Without looking through scarlet colored glasses I'd have to say that schedule looks pretty brutal. Every team has to have a couple of gimmes just to get "healthy" again after a bad stretch. Could be a long year for ND.

What is "brutal" about it aside from Mich, Tenn, and USC?
