collegefootballnews.com unit rankings released

They have us rated #11 on special teams. I believe that is too low. I know we lost Nugent but we have the best return man in the game and the best tandem overall. Our coverage has been very good and I suspect it will be as good or better this year. Huston will be solid and Trappasso should at least be serviceable. I feel we should be top 5 overall.

I wish all ND fans would just shut their mouths until they start winning again.....and I don't want to hear about the schedule, your AD did that....live with it.

NEVERDONECHUMPIN': What does the amount of carries have to do with yards-per-carry?

For one the rb in question was not a starter, correct? Meaning he probably had most of his carries when the game was out of reach. Second, a few good runs on limited carries would helped his average a ton and say 100 more carries like Walker has would even that out exp. when it is against first team defenses.

It is not always about stat's because they are always not a true measurement.
If that was the case I would have made the argument that ND's offense should have been rated higher than OSU's but I had to consider the TG factor even more this year and well he is just fantastic as is Holmes IMO.

As for 44820, you actually still believe you had a good team last year?

I believe we had a young talented team that by the end of the year was vastly improved. Can ND say the same thing? Survey says......NO!

Good teams are measured by wins and losses, unfortunately for all ND fans, the last few years have seen more losses than wins.....so I will say it again, shut your mouth until your team starts winning on the field.

ND - you've been around here long enough to know the rules. For the last time, this is an OHIO STATE board, not a Domer board. If you want to argue stat's and logic, then do so, but your posts so far in this thread are yet more examples of nothing but smack talk. You get a lot of leeway because you've been around for so long, but things will change if you keep this up.

Lets see...

ND:
* 6-6 last year
* Won 2 of their last 6 games at the end of the season
* Unranked preseason
* New head coach

Ohio State:
* 8-4 last year
* Won 5 of their last 6 games at the end of the season
* Preseason #9 coaches poll

Quit your complaining NDC till your team starts doing something right for a change!
