unfortunately, OSU is the only team that plays a brand of football to beat the mighty Bama. Msu and scUM play the slow plodding B1G ball that will get them curb stomped by SEC's upper echelon teams like Bama. OSU blowing the MSU game was a microcosm for the season, never could get the offense to click. So while I agree that we were the best B1G team I no longer believe that we would've beaten Bama. The scUM game was one example after such a bad MSU game, and for all we know the players were playing harder because it was The Game. I'm very curious to see how we play against ND, as the talent level is there but the cohesiveness hasn't been. MSU just restarted the rallying cry that SEC is king and the B1G is the slow northern kids who can't keep up. And of course we'll hear all off season how OSU is only good because they got an "SEC coach", and back to having to prove ourselves. I can hear the callers for the Finebaum show already banging their sisters and waiting to call PAWL and scream Roll TideSparty was always this team. How the fuck they ran the ball on us like they did I'll never understand. Neither their defensive nor offensive lines are half as good as they looked against us. Ohio State was the best team in the B1G. Sadly, they just didn't play like it all the time. And they played their worst game of the season against Sparty.
So instead of driving the point home against Bama the old narrative returns. Sparty is the slow, plodding B1G team they talk about all the time, and they won our conference. So now it's back to "the SEC" until Urban and company stomp that [Mark May] down again.
