Colin Cowherd (Official Ass Hat)

Off topic, but ESPN's daily College Football Live! returns to regular every-day airings on Monday, July 21st, and JT is scheduled to appear on that episode to kick off the 2008 season as well.

So the truth comes out. JT wants to finish the 2009 recruiting class early so he can make as many media appearances as possible. What an attention wh ore.

last year when cowherd had tressel call in he kept saying "i dont think ohio state is the #1 team in the country and when tressel gets on im gonna tell him!" so tressel gets on adn the conversation is as follows:

cowherd: jim tressel, welcome to the show, i dont think ohio state is the number one team in the country.

JT: ok....

cowherd: but seriously, it's great to have you on, you have run an amazing program since at ohio state

And what exactly do you think I meant by grilling a side of beef with a hair dryer?

The only one taking Colin Cowherd too seriously is Colin Cowheard.

You're last sentence is the only one that matters in this ENTIRE thread. Cowherd is just one of many sports personalities that attempt to be edgy and deal in absolutes. It's just what happens in 'the biz' these days. It's all noise and either you like the noise because it's a distraction or you turn it off. Colin doesn't have the choice of turning himself off, so he takes himself a bit more seriously than the rest of us.

You're assuming that I actually read your post which I didn't. I guess I wasn't aware that I'm not allowed to offer my opinion if it was similar to yours.
I disagree about Colin taking himself too seriously. He's got a sense of humor that you either like or you don't.

I completely agree. Being an arrogant person, I enjoy Colin's arrogance
I think he's definitely a little arrogant, but not to what he plays it up as on the radio. Some people have a self-depricating sense of humor where they just make fun of themselves by putting themselves down, Colin is the opposite where he makes fun of himself by saying how great he is. Anybody who can't realize he's actually poking fun at himself when he's being overly arrogant probably should not listen to his show.
