Cold-weather Super Bowl

Kellen Winslow, whiny bitch. Like father, like son.

Poor NFL players being forced to work in the cold. Their argument might have merit if they focused on the people who had to work in the stadium without making hundreds of thousands for their efforts. :roll1:

NFL players won't warm to cold Super Bowl in New York/New Jersey - Jim Trotter - SI.com

Two points:

1. Agree 100% about Winslow being a whiny bitch and his father is an outrageous racist.

2. If he's correct and the majority of players don't like this idea - I have no doubt that it will be brought up in collective negotiations before the 2012 strike.

Also posted in Cold Weather MNC thread.

Great Sport Science video about how cold weather affects player performance and a column from Jim Caple discussing his preference of football in cold weather.

Here are the two biggest reasons I'm looking forward to this weekend's AFC and NFC championship games: Pittsburgh's game-day forecast -- high of 19, low of 9 -- and Chicago's game-day forecast -- high of 23, low of 18 with a chance of snow. The forecast is so gloriously frigid I hope Jon Krakauer is credentialed to chronicle the suffering.

This year would've been a good time for it given the participants. Pittsburgh-Green Bay in a dome isn't going to look right.
