Coaching changes: coaches hired and fired, comings and goings

Thats a wash imo. Minnesota wasnt going to get much in this market and he keeps the momentum Kill started rolling. Recruiting etc should stay on track.
Its not like they fired Mason or let an Anderson walk or fire a 9win guy for a lifelong [Mark May]ty underperformer...
Kill was actually a good coach. This clown literally blew the scUM game himself. They'll be a 3-9 program again with him.

Maybe. I think he'll keep them in bowl range. Which is better than another brewster hire.
Agree on Kill, but his health and resignation is out of their control. Unlike what wiscy, corn, etc. did... or Minnesota themselves when they stupidly fired Mason

Report: Toledo HC Matt Campbell likely taking same job at Iowa State

According to a report from SI.com, Toledo head coach Matt Campbell has emerged as the front-runner for the ISU job and is expected to agree to a deal in the next 48 hours. To put an exclamation point on the report, interviews with all other candidates have been canceled.

That seems like a lateral move at best.

As someone who lives in N.W.Ohio and has ties to UT as well as tOSU, I'm not sure that UT could handle the awesomeness of a Tim Beck hire. Plus, with Tim Beck being bandied about as such a hot commodity' I think Tim Beck would be looking at big schools like USC or possibly Tejas. Yes Tim Beck should be hired by the Trojans. SoCal needs Tim Beck. Damn! I'm gonna miss Tim Beck!

I don't think so - obviously ISU is a power 5 but a team that has stunk lately....that said, they have a fantastic AD and it is a school that is very patient with their coaches. Rhoads stayed there for 7 years, and ended with 6 straight losing seasons....Matt knows he can go there, get at least a full 5 years to install his program and recruit for his system (which thankfully for him is awfully similar to what they were trying to build) and that's a great spot for him. Low pressure, low expectations and if he keeps on winning he'll take a step to a destination program.

He's got a FR RB who got almost 1400 yards, SO WR in Lazard and SO QB in Lanning so he's got young pieces returning who have experience and success. I really think this is a good landing spot for him. And he can always bank on a conference win over Kansas :)

So Toledo needs a new coach now that their guy went to Iowa State.

We need to use the power of our fan base and our budget.

They hire Tim Beck and we will come play at Toledo.

You don't hire Tim Beck, you'll never taste our sweet payouts again and we'll play Bowling Green several times in order to fund their program better.

No way. If they hire Tim Beck, we're sure to lose against Toledo. Don't want to play them with Tim Beck as THC.
