Coaches leaving after signing day discussion

Hmmm...you mean the best interest of some Ohio State's zealous fan; it is not the Ohio State University excellence.

"Excellence" in this case is a coach who performed his job at such a high level that he earned a better opportunity. "Excellence" is performing his job in the best interest of Ohio State up to the moment he left.

It's actually a pretty good example for our sons and daughters, most of whom I assume are going to end up in a situation just like this, because this is the internet.

It seems like the world is a very simple place for you, where things are either excellence or abhorant.

I personally think there are a million things in between and Drayton not directing a kid to go to UM because he might be taking a new job falls somewhere (way on the side of who cares) in the middle.

Did you all see the FB post Mikes mother made yesterday? It sure sounds like Wicher is the only one wringing his hands over this, as mom ripped the scUM fans. She didn't sound like a lady that was so upset because she had been "lied to". She sounded like a mother that is fed up with scUM.

BTW - this makes the second ND coach to leave since signing day. I wonder what Josh Adams is thinking.

She sounded pissed at Michigan fans. She didn't say anything about Ohio State, so we don't know what her thoughts are about that. She's probably not pleased.

This is just a twist on the No True Scotsman fallacy.
Weber has every right to be a bit upset, Drayton has every right to take another job offer. I don't have a problem with how it played out. As Mike stated, if Weber wants out... fine.

All that said, I thought it was pretty clear a couple days ago that Wilcher was more upset than anyone else and still attempting to recruit Weber for Michigan. Now that his mother has come out, I think that's been proven definitively.
It's just sour grapes because Cass Tech's Head Coach played at Michigan with Harbaugh.

Wilcher was apparently whining on the radio again yesterday, so yeah.
