Buckeye86
I do not choose to discuss it
tl;drBuckeyesin07, I don't know anything about Welcher nor do I know his motives, neither do you. All your points here are based on what you "think", not facts of why he is upset. May be he is bias, I don't know, but is that an excuse for the way OSU should represent itself? Your point of view also inclined to point out that all those kids' parents are not smart enough to do their own research and see what is best for their kids. That they will all do as Welcher said to do.
All I know is, Weber played for this guy for four years. They should have a pretty good relationship. Welcher should be upset if that happens to any of his players, if he is not, then I would question him even more. As a coach, I want to help my kids make their best decision based on the truest information. It is very obvious that relationship to his position coach is important to Mike. May be not to you and many others here. But our way of seeing things is not how everyone see things.
We all love our Buckeyes, and truely believe that OSU is the best choice for MW (May be a little bias ), but that should not induce you from doing the right thing. As many have mentioned, there are plenty of positive things to sell the recruits...WE ARE THE OSU, right? If you have to be dishonest to win a recruit, then what does that say about you and your thought of the very school you represent? We have won with many two or three stars recruits before, and we will. Don't let the fight with tsun turns us into one of those who will do anything to win.
UFM will hire another great coach...looks like he is getting a better one on paper. Lets try to understand the difficult position that Mike and his family was and is in; acknowledge the mistake, celebrate the new hire, let his new teammates love him and move on. He will do amazing things here if he decides to stay.
I stand with Buckeyesin07.
