I think we need to make a Hafley-type hire..someone with the chops to run the ENTIRE defense.

Bring in a coordinator, not a position coach. Coombs is a great recruiter, and very good secondary coach.

I feel we took a big step back in creating/coaching/executing schemes...and don’t want to blame Covid entirely.

Ready for a bold move.

While I agree with your reasoning.... they'd never do that to Kerry.

Also, I think Coombs deserves a real season to do the job. 2020 was a fucked up year. No spring practice, no real fall camp. All the COVID issues during the season. There was a lot of weirdness going on and that makes it hard to fairly judge Coombs as a DC. Though, I do prefer the idea of a co-coordinator.
