Indians pitchers top the Fangraphs WAR leaderboard for both starters (Bieber - 1.3 fWAR) and relievers (Karinchak - 0.7 fWAR). Karinchak is averaging 17.05 K/9 (6th among all relievers, but with at least 3 more IP than any of the others in front of him). Really a shame Clase was suspended for this season but I think he and Karinchak are going to make for a dynamite 1-2 punch out of the pen these next few years.

Helluva debut for Triston McKenzie tonight. Came up one K short of tying the club record for strikeouts in a pitcher’s first appearance (Luis Tiant with 11).

Personally I think he’s a talented goof, but the only thing the Indians care about is team control...if he can become a FA soon and make a shitload of money, he’s trade bait. If the team has at least 3 more years of control, he isn’t.
