Cleveland Indians Thread of Malaise (2014 Season)

Am I wrong in thinking I could/should be making a ton of money betting against these guys?

I mean, some of these scenarios are just too easy. I was actually wondering a couple weeks ago when they blew a 9th inning game to the Tigers what I could have gotten on some Live-odds for the Tigers winning...And who didn't see last night coming? I may as well turn this misery into profit.

not sure you know anything about the history of Cleveland baseball. outside of the 60s, 70s and late 2000s they are one of the most historically succesful teams.

Convenient of you to ignore the entire decade of the 80s and early 90s....not to mention quite a few years from 1946 and earlier....basically the Indians have been good for the late 40s, the 50s and the late 90s and early 2000s.

between 80 and 94 the indians had a total of 5 years of less then 75 wins, and one of those they played 103 games and the other 113, they only had 3 seasons they didnt play around or above .500, i wouldn't call that bad by any stretch, not good but average.

how convenient of you to ignore facts eh? unless you think .500 is bad, then theres only 3-4 franchises in baseball that would be considered good.

:slappy: sure thing noob

For the decade of the 80s, they were below .500 for every season except 1981 (52-51) and 1986 (84-78). They were so bad they had a movie made about them - one that Indians fans watch and start nodding slowly about as if it brings back bad memories.

that's not successful. There's a reason they had 7 managers between 1980 and 1992.
