Cleveland Indians Thread of Malaise (2014 Season)

Probably just means they're going to call up Jesus Agular on Sept 1 and not wait until the playoffs are done for the Clippers. Apparently didn't want to start the dominoes falling by bringing someone up from Akron, since they're in the playoffs, etc.
Aguilar expected to join the Tribe on Tuesday when the rosters expand. I'm interested to see what he can do, but given how Indians prospects have been doing for the last...oh...forever...I'm tempering my expectations.

Reinforcements: First baseman Jesus Aguilar is expected to join the Indians on Tuesday from Class AAA Columbus when the rosters expand. The Clippers have already clinched a postseason berth in the International League playoffs.

Aguilar, who made his big league debut earlier this season with the Tribe, is hitting .301 (125-for-301) with 29 doubles, 19 homers and 76 RBI at Columbus.

Tyler Holt has been pretty good for a no name prospect and Jose Rramirez seems to be putting it together as well

Santana has like a 370 OBP even though his AVG sucks and has been decent in the 2nd half as well.

Salazar put together a good 5 before the delay, bullpen solid again

They're due to get hot for a bit again. I pick em to go 8-3, including taking 2 from KC. Then they'll start September with another 2-6 to even it all out again.

Checked MLBtraderumors.com this morning. As expected, no hints that the Indians plan to acquire anyone before the Aug. 31 trade deadline. Only moves they've made lately were to dump Outman on the Yankers and save Branyan from a taco overdose for the Clippers. Wonder if Branyan's agent can get him a TacoBell endorsement deal in CBus...you know, "These tacos after a 1 for 5 with 2 Ks and a bloop single are better than a HR taco in Mexeeco!"

Chisenhall with a 2 out pinch hit 2 run double in the top of the 10th to put the Tribe up 4-2 after Allwn blows the save in the 9th. And convinient my the rain starts pouring and the tarp comes out. BS.
