Cleveland Indians (official 2012 season)

How's that Pujols contract looking Anaheim Angels of San Fernando Valley? Dude doesn't even have warning track power anymore. :slappy:

he's in a new setting, facing pitchers he's never seen before. he hit 37 LAST YEAR, and has never hit fewer than 32. he's averaged 40.5 for his career coming into this year.
no one suddenly loses that kind of power in one off season. at least wait until the all star break before you start tossing out the insults.

His numbers were down across the board last year. Also, there are multiple cases of players whose power suddenly disappeared.

Another also, I'll insult any baseball player I want, anytime I want. I don't feel like waiting until July. Thanks you.

this is a cleveland indians thread. the indians that signed travis hafner to a long term deal in 2007. cleveland fans know quite well about a precipitous drop off a cliff in power.

One thing you have to say about Acta managed Cleveland teams, they are awfully scrappy.

Talent is always the great equalizer, so I'm not falling for it like I did for a while last year, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

I want a Hannahan jersey...

And where are those people that were clamoring for Chisenhall to start the season over HAMMERIN' HANNAHAN!>!>!??!?

*not sure if many people here were asking for Chis but I know other posters on other sites were crying over it*

I don't think anyone was doing that here...we all watched him "play" defense last year. OTOH, Kipnis is bitchin' right about now :banger:

Yeah Kip has really done a 180 after his absolutely shit start to the season (but so did everyone else offensively).

It's fun stopping by my parents house to sit down and watch a Tribe game with the ol' man when the team is doing well. Come August however, he'll be going to bed and i'll be going to the bar most likely. But i'll enjoy it until then!

In fairness, Mannahan was swinging a toothpick over the 2nd half last season. Hopefully we're watching Casey Blake v2 developing.
