Cleveland Indians (official 2012 season)

Considering the problems they had with the Rangers in recent history, and that Lewis was 3-0 with a 1.93 ERA entering the game, color me surprised that they won.

if the offense can find some form of consistency these guys might stand a chance

In fairness, Mannahan was swinging a toothpick over the 2nd half last season. Hopefully we're watching Casey Blake v2 developing.

Pretty sure if I remember correctly Hannahan was tearing it up post all-star break last year? I may very well be wrong though...

so its tied in the top of the 11th

there is a runner on 2nd with 2 outs.......and Acta decides to intentionally walk Mitch Moreland to bring up Adrian Beltre? and then Beltre promptly cranks a 3 run HR

Yeah. That's, um, kinda puzzling. But, we were due for a bullpen meltdown.

I equate life to being an Indians fan. Expect the worst, but if something good happens, then run with it. Even it means life is good for a few weekends. We can't love life the entire year. [Mark May] happens. Enjoy the high tide. Because the wave has an ebb, or is it flow. Either way roll Tribe.

mitch moreland crushed the ball 3 straight times and beltre hasn't played in a while and hasn't been great. throw a tater ball, it's going to get hit, bottom line.

what's more baffling is carlos santana with a 3-2 count in the bottom of the 8th, man on third, one out, tie ballgame swinging the bat like he needs to hit a 450 foot hr for it to count.

I was sitting down the left field line towards the foul pole with my GF, best friend, and some of his friends. As soon as I saw that happen I immediately channeled my inner Harry Doyle...

"Well he's gonna walk Moreland to pitch to Beltre. Obviously Acta's thinking... I don't know WHAT the hell he's thinking."

And what do you know...2nd pitch BOOM. Everyone around me went from laughing to crying :(

Beltre is still Beltre. Moreland is still Moreland.

Beltre didn't play at all the other night until he pinch hit in the 9th and proceeded to crush one to the wall in right where we were fortunate Choo made a great catch at the wall to end the game. I guess I just don't understand why you give Beltre another crack at it the following night...

Fuck. Ascensio is warming up in the bullpen. Hopefully they go to Sipp if they do make a change.

edit: And Ubaldo comes back with a strikeout and groundout to 1st to end the inning.

7 Shut out innings today and he's likely done now that he's over 100 pitches.
