Cleveland Indians 2015 Thread of Barely Restrained Contempt (BALLS)

Danny Salazar optioned to Columbus. Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer for him to "get it."
I thought that their forte this year was supposed to be a strong starting five which included Salazar. I do not think that McAllister or Tomlin is an answer for a starter's role. Hopefully, House can come through or they might have to pitch Kluber every fourth game. I just hope that Bauer does not shit the bed.

looks like mcallister is going to get the 5th starting spot. salazar has done what salazar does this spring. strike out a ton of guys, have some walks, but give up a lot more hrs than he should. he doesn't have enough confidence to throw strikes consistently with his fastball, and he's still doesn't have great control with his offspeed pitches, so he leaves meatballs all over the place and gets smacked.

It will be interesting to see how long McAllister lasts as a starter because he is almost like Salazar with only one good pitch and that is a fastball right down the middle. I guess he could give the Tribe about 4 or 5 innings and outing but that is going to take a wear and tear on the bullpen on each of his starts.

I thought he pitched reLly well prior to the finger injury and well once he moved to the bullpen. My memory may be off though.
My memory might be off too but I can remember really looonnng fly balls:wink: being hit off him last year when he chucked that fastball right down the plate. He cannot just rely on his fastball which he often does.
