Cleveland Indians 2015 Thread of Barely Restrained Contempt (BALLS)

I know that Ramirez is bad, really bad right now, but Chiz is also very bad and at least Ramirez can bunt a ball and if he ever gets on base might be able to steal but Chiz cannot even do does two things. I know that he is fielding a lot better this season but he is just terrible at the plate and Francona had him batting in the six hole yesterday. I do not know why they do not sit him or send him down to Columbus to find his bat again if he ever will.

I think this team can get into contention with their starting pitching but they need some contribution from the bottom of the lineup and that means from shortstop and third base. They really need to do something and fast before we lose some more one run games.

About time they DFA'd the turnip-sniffer at third. Ramirez I like, he puts in effort, but he's more overmatched than a horny teenager trying not to pop wood at a porn convention.

They just drafted a kid who just underwent Tommy John surgery? They're fucking with us, right? :slappy:

Ahhhh, Mr. Ford? Thoughts?

Yes, it's been awful. Maybe going against their normal selection process and taking guys like lindor and Aiken will work.
Francona's quip of "at least he has his TJ surgery out of they way early" may not be as crazy as it sounds on the surface...better to have him already blow out his arm than to blow it out in the bush leagues after drafting him

The Indians' draft record might be just awful, but we have to give them credit for being about the best in MLB at dumpster diving. Marcum is the latest in a successful run of finding serviceable pitchers from the bunch of castoffs they bring in every February on minor league contracts with invitations to the big league camp. No, these rehab pitchers are not very likely to win 18 games or pitch 200 innings, but they do fill a roster hole or two that the minor league system seems unable to handle.

How do they keep finding these guys? If they are different scouts than the ones used for the draft.....

Giovanni hits a home run in his second game in the majors. I do not care what he does from here on out but where the hell has he been.
There is a rumor up in Cleveland that Lindor is going to get the call up on Wednesday next week.
It probably will not matter with the Indians going to Detroit this weekend for a bashing.
