Cleveland Indians (2013 Season)

Rumors that Cubs want Chiz-kid in return for Garza if that deal were to happen. I'm sure there's also other factors in that deal.

Thoughts? Good deal?

I think I'd take that deal as long as we could resign Garza. Chisenhall has really under preformed. I don't think he has much upside

It could possibly work but then you are playing Aviles at third and moving one of your premier minor guys over to third in hopes to fill that spot since we don't have much of anything at that spot. Unless you're going to spend big bucks for a 3B in free agency, but if you resign Garza that's not very realistic.

I guess you could always make Drubs move over to third too next year, not sure how he'd take it but for the 10 mill he's making he wouldn't have much of a choice.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. Masteron, McCallister, Kluber make up a solid rotation in the future and then who knows what will happen with Kazmir next year. We have Salazaar waiting after performing very well and the Tribe will forever try to push Bauer as well.

well they face Mike Pelfrey tonight....who has a 5.55 ERA and hitting hit .313 off of

however....the first time they faced him this season he went 6 and only gave up 4 hits and 1 run (and had 7 strikeouts....he only has 45 total in 82 innings) and the tribe lost......will the tradition of making total bums look awesome continue tonight?

MLB Radio saying this afternoon that deal for Garza with Rangers was "nearly done."

Yep. His error turned the momentum in tonight's game

And screw matt Garza. Find bullpen help.

Kazmir has been great... the rotation isn't bad they just don't go deep usually. Garza at most gives you 20 or 25 "extra" quality innings. A good reliever gets you that cheaper.

Chiz boots too many more balls like he did to lose tonight's game and I'll be ready to just DFA the bum.

But, really....you think there's ANY chance the Tribe would resign a pitcher...any pitcher....for the big bucks that Garza can get? You need to be drug tested ASAP.
