He was brought in to get 1 out though....and couldnt get one of three sub .225 hitters out

And this was the ball game, and I don't really blame Masterson... I think you'll find it hard to find me criticizing Managers in this or previous threads... even Acta, and he was an idiot... I'm more of a "players got to perform" type guy, but, this was RIDICULOUS... Masterson faced probably 3 more guys than he should have, but, he was clearly not on top of his slider any more and if he had thrown it for a strike it wouldn't have landed yet... and when Santana literally has to dive to save a run on a fastball, and he's on...oh... 115 pitches.... ummmmm... yeah... might want to get him out of the game. There's nothing "quick hook" about it... he was gassed.

What made it worse was yeah, the guy coming in was making his debut, but he promptly struck a guy out in a second and third situation and then got the first out of the next inning, so going to him would clearly have been better. Did we get Grady Little by mistake? No WAY Masterson should have been in the game at that point anymore.

The game was all the more annoying with Katie Witham trying to sound sexy with her "Nasty Masty" crap all game, which Underwood then tried to pick up on...barf.

Should have been no hits and 8 Ks ... clearly a third strike down the middle that was called a ball before giving up the first hit on the next pitch. Great performance though, and they could use his arm in the bullpen if McAllister comes back healthy. He goes right after hitters and throws strikes, something the Tribe bullpen has been lacking lately.
