Joe Martinez should not be sent to Columbus until he shows us in a few games that he does not belong in Cleveland. Send one of those other sore arm guys down to Columbus.

Also, what is with Bourn and Swisher. They should be making their babies during the season so they do not have to go on paternity leave during the season.

Here's the part where Lion reminds us that the schedule in August and September is full of the former....

Also, to paraphrase Bucklion (IIRC) not sure if Masterson is an "Ace" but on occasion, he does some Ace-like things. Yesterday being one of those times... would have been bigger to do it on Saturday after the Marathon, but, he pitches when its his day to pitch. Huge start by him.

let us just hope that he has the same stuff when the Tigers come calling next weekend:bonk:

They should teach Gomes how to play third base because he has a very nice bat but never gets the playing time that would benefit the team because of Santana. At third maybe they could just teach him to chest the ball and pick it up and throw the runner out. Just a thought.

with reynolds being on a one year deal, I'd expect to see more of a swisher/santana 1b/DH platoon next year with gomes getting more time behind the plate.

I'm pretty sure he does have some corner fielding experience from his time with the Jays? Maybe he will get some time there, it'd be an interesting option at least.
