Cleveland Indians (2013 Season)

Ah, yes, now we're seeing the Indians that I know and love - they get one run and three hits of a stiff making his major league debut ... they strike out eleven times ... and their ace gives up a three-run game-winning bomb to a scrub batting .188.

I swear, you reincarnate the 1927 Yankees, put them in Indians uniforms, and they would somehow manage to lose 90 games.

Swisher has had one hit since his wife had a baby. Maybe they kit is keeping him up at night but I cannot understand when they are playing on the road unless she calls him holds the telephone to his ear in the middle of the night and says see what you are missing.

As Pluto mentioned today, it is time to sit Reynolds and bring up Chis from Columbus. He cannot do any worse and he is a better fielding third baseman but that is not saying a whole lot when you compare someone to Reynolds.

Disagree whole heartedly on sitting Reynolds.

Now bringing up Chis and moving Reynolds back to 1B or DH? Totally in agreement on that, but you keep his bat in the lineup no matter what. Once Reynolds moved to 3B, his defense began sucking and so did his confidence.

http://www.waitingfornextyear.com/2013/06/mlb-rumor-john-mcdonald-returning-to-the-indians/

Veteran utility man John McDonald could be heading back to the Cleveland Indians. Per Mike DiMauro, a sports columnist for The New London Day in Connecticut, the Indians have acquired their former infielder in a trade with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

DiMauro?s report has yet to be confirmed, and there is no sign of who (or what) would be going back to Pittsburgh, but it appears that this all comes in the wake of a quadriceps injury suffered by All-Star shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera.

McDonald, 38, spent the large part of six seasons with the Tribe having a reserve role between 1999-2004. On the season, the 38-year-old McDonald is hitting .065 with just two hits in 35 plate appearances through 16 games. Mike Aviles has been starting for Cabrera, so it is difficult to envision this as anything outside of depth in the event that it materializes as being accurate.

championship!
