Masterson spins the complete game 4 hit shutout, saving the entire bullpen for game 2. I am not yet convinced he is an ace...but this is exactly what an ace does. Bravo. Now, can Bauer keep from walking everything...

I don't watch a ton of Tribe games anymore, but he seems more like a Cliff Lee type of ace rather than a CC/Pedro/etc. Damn good pitcher, but not a guy that you trot out in game 1 of the World Series and know that you are going to get the W.

Huge game by him... Saves the half of the bullpen we had for game 2 and makes guys available for the game they still have to play tomorrow.

Yeah, need to clean it up a bit, but honestly we won the game we were supposed to win. Nothing says wild and weird like a Trevor Bauer vs. Vidal Nuno as your starters. Translation, I'm not not gonna get too upset either way about how this one turns out.

Ordinarily I would agree, but we got scorched earth the first 2 games of this series back in April...would like a home split.
