Yeah, you just might, Tito. But I don't think many people give a [Mark May] anymore. It's a fickle, jaded fanbase, and your guys just layed a giant steaming turd when they had a chance to show everybody you were for real. Good luck drawing interest now after that, and with football season upon us. It's the Browns turn to kick us in the junk.

This team pitched better than its potential for a spell after the break, and it hit better than its potential for a spell during the long winning streak in the first half. Another way to say that is their "success" has been a few good players and mostly smoke and tampons otherwise. Even if they sneak into a wild card spot, and even if they win a play in game () they are looking at Boston, Tampa, or Detroit, who have smoked us like a Perez Spliff all season.

Huh, this is interesting:

-The following teams have won the World Series as a wild-card team: Marlins (1997 and 2003), Angels (2002), Red Sox (2004), and Cardinals (2011), meaning that three consecutive titles were won by a wild card (2002-2004).

-A wild-card team appeared in the World Series each year from 2002-2007.

Now, I know your team sucks, and so you haven't been in the playoffs regularly since....who knows when, and who gives a [censored]? But what you would realize is that in baseball, you always have a shot. You're one of 8 teams (if you win the play-in game) to have a chance at a championship. Crazier things have happened. But yes, Tigers' fans are crazy.

Huh, this is interesting:

Most of the teams that made the WS as a Wild Card had decent records against the teams they faced in the playoffs in the regular season, meaning the appeared to be...good teams. Go figure.

97 Marlins: SF 5-6, Atl 8-4: 13-10, .565
02 Angels: NYY 3-4, MIN 4-5: 7-9, .438
03 Marlins: SF 1-5, CHC 2-4: 3-9, .250
04 Red Sox: LAA 5-4, NYY 11-8: 16-12, .571
05 Astros: ATL 1-5, STL 5-11: 6-16, .273
06 Tigers: NYY 2-5, OAK 5-4: 7-9, .438
07 Rockies: PHI 4-3, AZ 10-8: 14-11, .560
11 Cardinals: PHI 6-3, MIL 9-9: 15-12, .556

Now, let's look at the Indians this year against their 3 likeliest opponents:

DET 3-13, BOS 1-6, TB 2-4: 6-23, .207

As you can see, even if you take the anomalies of the 03 Marlins and the 05 Astros, neither of whom probably should have been in the WS, their winning percentages are still better than the Indians against the 3 likely teams they would face in the playoffs. But you're right, Detroit fans are way more knowledgeable about the chances of the Indians than Indians fans are, because it's not like we follow the team or anything.

Each team you listed there was infinitely more talented than this Indians team, save for maybe the Rockies, who managed to play well against competitive teams...something this team cannot do..."dumbass".
