Cleveland Indians (2013 Season)

Oh, no doubt. I hate the cock monkey. But, they need to score more runs. And, frankly, Tito was playing with fire running him out there a third straight night.

I agree they need to score more runs. But you have got to close out the close small run games. Up 2-0, there's no way you should lose in the 9th. No excuses. I don't think a 2-0 game is something to blame the offense for. Now if we only scored 1-2 runs a game, yes then I would agree. But last night the O did the job they needed to do, score more than Detroit (for 8 innings), the pitching crapped the bed last night

It's a "chicken or the egg" thing. They both failed last night. It was also a tactical error on Tito. Perez had pitched the previous two nights and already looked shaky in one of them. He was a lit fuse.

But, Perez's occassional meltdowns make you really appreciate a guy like Mariano Rivera. He's been so good for so long. When's the last time the Tribe had a really "lights out" closer? Mesa before Game 7?

I don't really think the O is to blame last night. Could they have scorer more runs? Sure. You can always score more runs. But what's the difference between winning a game 2-0 or 20-18 through 8 innings? There is none. The offense put this team in perfect position to win the game through 8 innings, and the pitching blew it
