Germano is fucking terrible. That is all.

Carrasco wasn't much better tonight. Germano, however, is terrible pretty much all the time, as is Durbin, and those 2 guys could cost us the Central lead sooner rather than later if Acta doesn't wise up.

Well, Masterson was overdue for a bad start. :ohwell:

I think this is when reality finally slaps us across the mug. The timely hitting is disappearing and we're still not getting anything on a consistent basis from our #3 and 4 hitters. Recipe for a fall right there...

On the other hand Price and Shields are money right now, and we did find a way to win the other game. There will be some series where we can only get 1/3...but if we punish teams like Seattle, Minnesota, Baltimore, etc., then I think we'll still be OK.

Hopefully, but this is a pretty impotent offense when the guys we weren't expecting much from aren't producing. Choo is essentially worthless with a bat in his hands right now. Santana is a #7 hitter, not cleanup. The BP is showing signs of weakness. If we don't get lights out starting pitching, [dennygreen]they are who we thought they were[/dennygreen].

Also, at what point does OCab's <.300 OBP and mediocre defense outweigh the leadership?

Depends on when he gets his hits...he's come up with some big ones this far, if he still delivers in the clutch and makes the normal plays, he's fine at second. We have other issues. Plenty of them. So yeah, I'm more worried about the rest of the lineup...Glassjaw Grady is already falling apart, Hafner will soon follow and only plays half the time anyway, Hannahan is a .220 hitter, though I generally like having him over there for D, LaPorta will be himself (sucky) again in no time, Santana has a lot of talent but isn't hitting at all and supposedly our only consistently good player is a drunken lunatic who has more cans of Stroh's in an evening than he had hits in April. Of course I might just be looking at the bright side...
