This drives me crazy. (yes, I know you don't agree with that thinking) Goes back to the fact that this was never a great baseball town. The 90s was just a great opportunity for football fans to fill the void the Browns leaving left by rooting for the Indians. And never realizing how baseball ebbs and flows.

The scary part is what is going to happen as the weather warms up. Cuz this can be a dangerous game of chicken. If fans don't come out to support even a winning team, how can Dolan justify going out to trade for players? Then that will feed into the fans fears for going to the games thinking the Dolan's are cheap, where really Dolan just doesn't want to lose [Mark May]loads of money.

Conversly, if the fans start coming out and in July the team is averaging 30k+ in fans a night. Dolan MUST make a trade if the team is still contending to reward that faith. And if he doesn't, a large group of fans will NEVER go to the games.

But worst case... what if there are no good pieces the Indians need at the trade deadline? Do they make a deal just to make a deal?

Not a single baseball franchise lost money last year. Even the Pittsburgh Pirates as awful as they were with a ridiculous draw, made 30 million (thanks Deadspin for getting the books).

It's even more frustrating as a baseball fan. I love the Tribe. But I hate cheap baseball owners. I'll root for the Indians to continue to do well, but at the same time it provides incentive for Dolan to cut cost.

It's really a no win situation.

i have a feeling the next 2 games will be around this type of score...pitchers ball park and both teams have great starting pitching so far...grady had a prime spot to help us out but struck out...hopefully he gets another shot
