Cleveland Indians (2011 Season)

Fucking hell. :ohwell: Well, as extraordinary as the BP has been, this was bound to happen sooner than later. Damn shame to waste a great outing from Tomlin like that though. :shake: Split the series with KC, so at least we remain in 1st.

Struggling Twins up next.

wont win too many games scoring only 2 runs. with astroball cooling down, it's imperative to get choo and santana hitting.

Or call up Chad Huffman:tongue2: Kidding of course but did everyone see the Clippers boxscore from yesterday? 19-3 over Louisville, Huffman led the way as he went 4-5 with 3 HR and 10 RBI.

perez blew a save which is bound to happen sometime...sucks it happened now and against the royals but i will take a 2-2 split on the road vs them...im interested to see how we play against a twins team without Joe Mauer, their japanese 2nd baseman and with a sick Morneau...there should be no reason we dont win this series if not sweep...choo and santana do need to get it going and both have shown some signs...the thing that is most encouraging about Santana is his 13/11 K/BB ratio...hes getting on base and staying patient...he will adjust and eventually start hitting if he keeps those ratios up...meanwhile while they are cool if Cabrera and Hafner continue to have a good year then we should be pretty good offensively all year....either way its fun watching while they continue winning...i cant say when the season started that i would be watching as many games as i already have but im glad i am

Yeah, been saying that for about a week now. It's all good as long as you get lights out pitching and production from other spots in the lineup, but that's not going to go on forever. The "it's early" excuse is rapidly approaching it's expiration date...and a lot of these places that they've been getting production way beyond the expected are going to begin to regress back to the mean. Those two need to wake the fuck up.

In all seriousness, I would like to take in a game at Target Field and baseball was meant to be played outdoors

...and the baggie...

One of my fondest (non-Tribe related) baseball memories was watching the Twins win the '87 WS in that dome (on television). Talk about a team coming out of nowhere, 85-77, -20 run differential...Kirby, Bruno, Gaetti, Sweet Music, Herbie, Gladden, Blyleven, Reardon...that was probably my favorite non-Tribe baseball team of all-time. They were like the ML version of the Bad News Bears.

I hate that the Twins are a division rival because that's a franchise that does it the right way. Fought all the way back from near contraction a decade ago to be competitors almost every year. I have a lot of respect for that franchise. Chicago and Detroit on the other hand...

But enough kindness...go scalp these fuckers Tribe.
