Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Used to play a pickup game with a group of friends. One guy kept trying to press full court so I would run out and set a pick mid court. Ran into a 250 lb brick wall a few time like Curry did in that video and he didn't full court press anymore. I wanted to see the Cavs do more of that to Curry in the Finals. I bet if you run him into Lebron, TT, or Timo like that a few times and legally put him on his ass he isn't going to be knocking down as many of those 3's. It isn't like the Warriors are a great example of how to set a legal screen. They get away with a lot of shit.

Cavs are the easiest path to the Finals. Having Johnson would help the Cavs go small better with a lineup like Kyrie, JR, JJ, Lebron, and Frye. They could even pull out Kyrie, Delly, JR, JJ, and Lebron against the Warriors small lineup.

This team is stacked already but JJ would be a nice pickup.

Just look at those lineups you mentioned.

They don't include Love, Tristan, Shump, Mo, and RJ. Those 5 would beat any of the LeBron in Miami Cavs teams. We have some serious depth. Hell we'd still have Mozzy and James Jones coming off our bench's bench. Fucking stacked.

Going to be a fun run here in the playoffs.

I was trying to find lineups including JJ. You could sub TT or Love in the first one if you need better D or more O, but I don't know how Love will do at the 5 against a guy like Green. Guys like Frye and JJ should improve their 3pt% on the Cavs with Lebron, Kyrie, and Love pulling so much attention.

Not critiquing the small ball lineups you mentioned to counter GS, just in awe of the depth.

Gotta get healthy though. Need Shump and Mo back in action.

I am blacking out much of the NBA Finals memories still, but did we ever have LeBron match up on Green.

I'd like to see LeBron in that matchup.

To me, LeBron is always getting compared to Jordan and Kobe.

He is neither.

LeBron is Magic Johnson but without the aids and without cheating on his wife and family.

Dude can play all 5 positions and be effective if needed. I want my LeBron stepping up for an injured Kareem games.

Not a whole lot. Most of the time they went with TT at the 5 when the Warriors went small. The Cavs just didn't have the depth last year to try to match up with the Warriors. There were a few times when they had Lebron at the 5, but he was pretty much playing Point Center. I don't remember how he matched up with Green, but it seems like one he could win. Adding Iso Joe will give the Cavs another small ball 4 that can give them production off the bench and better yet help limit Lebron's minutes for the rest of the season. The biggest key to a Warriors series will be Love and Frye being able to hold their own at the 5 against Green. They need to force the Warriors to leave a true big in the game to protect the rim. IMO in 3-4 years Lebron will be what Green is now.
