I don't see a team leader... I see guys on the fringe... but no bonafide leaders... Mitchell is a helluva player but I don't see him as the leader...
I don't see Mobley or Allen as ever having that personality altho would love it to be Mobley... Garland is too comfortable taking the 2nd seat to whomever... and when you're in the playoffs.. you need a leader... can't only be Bickerstaff

That's almost why I'm still torn on giving up Lauri because everyone knew it was Garlands team. Injuries killed us and another year of chemistry I believe would have made a huge difference and 3 basic 7 footers was so strong. Now, Mitchell is something else and he can freaking fill it up but you're right, he's not a leader and it discombobulates us a bit. Hopefully someone takes charge this year since we've lost a lot of veteran leadership.

Being honest, the playoffs showed this team is Charmin soft too. Stephens was one guy that really played like a power forward and brought some grit...I haven't seen Strus enough on a nightly basis to know what he brings in that regard, but it's not a quality this team is swimming with,

I see the problem with Garland is that when he tries to lead, he takes too many shots himself, often bad ones. I'd rather see him recognize the time for leadership and try and get everyone else involved when the going gets tough. Maybe that will come with chemistry and trusting his teammates more, but these rosters turn over so much and so frequently that I question whether any team will ever get "comfortable" with each other in this era.

Cavs go undefeated and win the NBA Summer League
Isaiah Mobley was awesome.. still needs a lot of work but he was a force on both ends.. VERY verbal defensive floor leader...
Porter is a home run.. kid is a solid PG backup.. pick of the litter
Cooper is solid.. short but blazing quick..
Lookout for Sam Merrill... kid is a dead eye from 3.. set rcd for all-time most 3s in NBA Summer League.. 6'4 Kevin Love but much better defensively
Emoni Bates will drive us nuts for 2 years,,, great plays and the most cumbersome boneheaded plays back to back...
Nance is possible... he can block shots... and headsy passer
Only Porter is ready but there was a lot of potential on the floor when you sand off the edges and rough spots

WHY did this team win it... they played like a team and not individuals...
Porter and Mobley were the two standouts in team play .. hitting the other players ...

The rings they won are extremely nice but I couldn't find this years version to post

The irony of the Mobley brothers
Evan can show Isaiah how to be much more polished.. especially on offense
Isaiah can show Evan how to be a leader... saw significant leadership skills this tourney...
