Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Since The Browns stomped the Baltimore Colts 27-0 in the '64 NFL title game, Cleveland pro sports teams have been in a grand total of five championship series in two major pro sports: Two World Series ('95 and '97) and three NBA finals ('06-'07, '14-'15, and now '15-'16). They lost the first four and are about to lose the fifth.

And, unless my math is wrong, Cleveland has won a grand total of 8 total games in those series. 52 years...8 game wins in 5 final series.

Let's see:

1995 World Series: 2 wins (Braves)
1997 World Series: 3 wins (Marlins)
2007 Finals: 0 wins (Spurs)
2015 Finals: 2 wins (Warriors)
2016 Finals: 1 win, so far (Warriors)

Yep, your math would be correct, sir...

That was a travesty.. a tantrum/protest by the refs union about the Last Two Minutes reporting issue and the fact they want it removed.. those refs should never be allowed to ref again

Golden State kind of is basketball taken to its ultimate terrible extreme. It sucks.

I was telling this to a coworker the other day. Draymond being Draymond doesn't help matters at all. There is never a reason to attempt to hit someone in the nuts. I wish Lue had brought someone deep off the bench to give Draymond a good clean hard foul, just to send his punk ass a message. Steve Kerr did play with Rodman.........

Maybe next year when they trade Kevin Love for someone who can defend.

...or someone who has some mental toughness, who knows what an offensive rebound is, who actually shows up in crunch time, etc. Let's be honest--there's a lot of room for improvement when it comes to trading Love. The Cavs lost last year with Love, and are on the brink of losing with him again this year. It's high time to admit that bringing him in was a giant flub and to get rid of him. Let him go play for the Lakers, going back to his old days of putting up good stats for a team that hobbles its way to a 12-70 record.

This sport is too dependent on a referees whistle. After EVERY single play, you see the players immediately turning to the refs waiting for the whistle. It's absolute garbage. Play the sport you are paid millions to play, not begging for calls/selling fouls.
Yep. The nba is unwatchable garbage. Has been for a very long time. I watched about 2/3 of games two and three...I decided after game three I wasn't wasting anymore time on it. It's trash.

I think it's highly likely he goes to Boston for either Crowder and Bradley or Crowder and the pick, or to Portland for CJ McCollum. Either of those trades work for me. Makes our defense more switchable.

You need to get over your crush on Andrew Wiggins.

The Cavs lost last year without Love, and that's one of the main reasons that they lost.

Reality check: Golden State is one of the best teams in NBA history. Over the past two regular seasons, they have a record of 140-24 (.854 winning percentage). They are on the verge of winning back-to-back championships. They have the two-time MVP. They have two other All Stars. They have excellent role players. And on top of that, they play so well as a team that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The Cavs are losing to a better team. It happens sometimes. There's no shame in that.

So you don't think the Cavs can find a better fit than Love via a trade this offseason?
Honestly just wondering: as a casual NBA fan I'm among those just not seeing it with him getting starter's minutes for a hopeful contender.

Of the new "soft" era, maybe. Where little cupcakes like Stephanie Curry can get away with reach in fouls on defense, and draw a foul on every offensive possession. Their record, and playoff dominance is a product of a diluted basketball product.
