Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

So mainly a fun and gun style of Lue vs the plodding boring style of Blatt. Interesting how that works. Picking up Frye probably ate into his minutes as well.

No. Actually, the cavs pace stats under lue are not any different than under blatt. The problem is that mozgov was terrible with blatt this season and just as bad if not worse, under lue. The only difference is that lue has the sack to pull the plug on him.

He was valuable last year. But his confidence is shot and his limitations have been exposed this year. And yes, Frye is another 3 point shooter, so he fits the plan better anyway.
This. Even though Mozgov and Frye were both getting 10-20 minus a night through March and April is was obvious that Frye was the guy who better suited this team's long-term goals. Atlanta did everything they good think of yesterday...Sefalosha starting for Korver, Humphries first off the bench, attacking the Cavs inside, hard fouls...and Cleveland still escaped with a win despite Korver coming alive, Lebron slipping and falling randomly, Teague going straight goon on James, etc. Love how Lue has guided this team...he was exactly what this group of veterans needed.

Mozgov had a knee injury last year resulting in off-season surgery. Supposedly, he did not fully recover from the surgery when the season started, so this probably also contributed to his loss of confidence.

“The surgery that they performed last summer was not a success but he felt pressure to play really well because he saw a massive paycheck coming his way. It was the combination of worrying about the contract and an unhealthy knee and a changing role on the team that all contributed to him having a down year.”

Miami is the most beat up.. altho they have 2 guards that are worrisome.. Wade is about due to break down...
Toronto is still feeling their oats and they dive on the floor... Lowry concerns me.. altho Shump is avail this time

I want the beat up team

Toronto will be lucky to win a game, but I'm glad they spared us 10 days of "D Wade versus LeBron" obsession by the media.
Toronto got some serious home cooking from the refs in game 7, including 43 free throws to Miami's 23. If that happens against the Cavs, then Toronto will definitely win some games, maybe even the series.

Cleveland benefits from the same type of officiating at home. And Cleveland has the shooters to overcome that kind of FT disparity. I don't see Cleveland losing multiple games little alone the series.
