Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

and aldridge got the rebound on that missed 3 and was mugged by ibaka with no call as well.

It's sad, but we've seen this time and time again: the referees will not put you on the free throw line to win the game. Defenses get away with murder on the final possession of any close NBA game. The Spurs can bitch now, but if it were them up 1 with Westbrook driving for a game-winning layup, they would've been hacking the shit out of him as well. You should settle for a jump shot or have the lead going into the final possession. Otherwise, you can expect a mugging.

Yeah, I guess that's the one biggest argument you could make as to why a foul should have been called. BUT, San Antonio did have a timeout. They should have called it as soon as they stole the inbound pass. In the end I still think SA will take the series. SA played terribly and still almost won. Time will tell.

Lots of blame to go around...
1) Waiters was flagrant in what he did; if you are out of bounds, you may not touch anyone that is inbounds
2) Rule regarding the defender on the inbound pass.. may not be within the 3-ft throw-in area; clearly if you are doing the throw-in and you can hit the defender with your elbow.. the defender has violated this rule
3) as noted before:
a) SA had a time out left, altho the chance to score was very prevalent.. and should have been an easy bucket..
b) while all that stuff was going on, the shooter was attempting a 3-pt shot !?!?!? (they were only down 1)
c) Ginoboli took himself out of the key and ran to the opposite 3-pt line... whereas if he entered the scrum or at least stayed close by, all they needed was a 2-pt bucket to win

So SA deserved to lose cuz they had more STUPIDS than OKC..

any situation in which you depend on dion waiters to make a critical play supersedes any other subsequent bad decisions, no debate.
