Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Think we can trade Love back to Minny for Wiggins in this final? Sure could use his defense coming up.

Not saying that Wiggins wouldn't be more helpful than Love sitting in a suit behind the bench, but at this point what does he bring better than Shump? There aren't enough balls for Wiggins to get the touches that he would need on offense and he doesn't have the stroke that Smith and Shump have. He might have played 20 minutes a game for the Cavs this year and wouldn't have been rookie of the year.

I don't know much about the Warriors so it will be interesting to see the scouting reports as they are written. From the little bit that I've seen a lot will depend on how well Kyrie can move/defend one of the GS guards, and how well the Cavs role players shoot.

How quick is Curry? It seems like he is more like Kyrie than a healthy Rose or Teague. I know you can't block his shot, but a guy like Shump might be able to chase him around and deny the ball. The Warriors don't seem to have much in the way of bigs so I expect Lebron to play more 4 since Green will probably check him a good portion of the time anyway. If the Cavs go big I don't know if Barnes would be able to stick with TT so that would force Green on TT and Barnes on Lebron. I always thought Bogut was soft with the Bucks so Mozzy should be able to battle him inside (I could be wrong).

Basically from the little that I know if Kyrie is healthy enough to defend one of the Warriors the Cavs should be able to play good enough D to keep them in the game. Any team with Lebron has a shot if they can keep it close till the last 5 minutes. This will be the first series the Cavs might be overmatched so they might be the ones gooning it up.

What's the general feeling of fans towards Blatt? I've heard some people on the radio say that even with making it to the finals, Blatt's job is still in jeopardy.
Only opinion that matters is Lebron if he wants him back... he'll be back... even if they win if Lebron wants him gone he's gone... Lebron is the Player/GM/Coach

Yeah that was all the rage this morning...that even if he wins the title, gmhe could go. All I'll say is...good luck hiring someone next time if that happens.

How to go Browns in one move, by the Cavs.

Most of the morons saying he'll be gone are the kind of jackoffs that think it matters if Lebron likes the guy. Lebron doesn't give a fuck as long as it works, and he feels like he can continue to work with him to get the Cavs better. This theoretical evaluation being made in a year where the starting point is the NBA finals at the least. Say what you want about the opponents or the East, all of that's valid but fact remains they're in the Finals in their first season together with a team that was largely pieced together in January.

The don't like the guy because he's a nerdy version of Popovich and doesn't have the street cred to get away with it yet. He's clearly a basketball nerd, and believes in a lot of the same things that Lebron does.

I'm agreeing that if Lebron wants him gone he will be... but all of this shit they spew has nothing to do with how effective they can be together other than a near blown time out call. This crap about, 'Oh Lebron overruled his inbound play' - well, that could have been a lot worse, he could have not let him do that... that's when shit doesn't work. They don't need to be friends and they don't need to go bowling together, they merely need to see eye to eye on basketball, how to improve the team and both have the track record that says they've been pretty good in the past, and aren't all that bad now.

I remember Pippin refusing to take the court when Kukoc was called to take the final shot ..it happens

I have zero doubt Cavs would have beaten either of the West teams last night...
The way I see it is if Klay Thompson is good to go and Kyrie is still only at 60%, I don't see much of a shot for the Cavs. If Klay Thompson isn't able to go OR Kyrie is at 80% or more, I think it will be a great series, but still give GS the edge. But if BOTH Klay Thompson can't go and Kyrie is at 80% or more then I think I'd give the Cavs a slight edge. While up until last night the 1 week layoff was only going to be helpful to the Cavs in terms of health, it now works out for both teams if Klay can recover. Hoping for a good series.
