Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

So JR Smith gets ejected and suspended for two games for throwing a punch back behind him. Howard gets a flagrant 1 and nothing else. I'd love to know the logic behind that.....the plays were exactly the same in my IMO.

To be fair, I don't think the Hoeford thing was an F2 either. The people in NY should be making those decisions in the playoffs. If baseball can use extra umps, then hoops can use the same guys to make all the calls and be consistent with it.

I'm pretty sure I heard that the 2 guys that were helping at the replay center both said F2. If Horford was an asshole like Taj Gibson Delly would be getting his head re-attached right now, but the F2 was justified.

I think you know that you are asking for the impossible especially when it comes to officials. However, I sort of disagree with you in the fact that Hoeford did make contact above the shoulders and if you really go by the letter of that rule that is an automatically F2. My big question in the entire play was I did not see Delly making any contact that would warrant a technical but I am sure that he did something:wink:

Also, the Cavs got hosed on that play all the way around because LBJ was on a runaway freight train two thirds of the way down the floor. I do not know why the official blew the whistle when he did unless he thought things were going to get very ugly very fast.
