Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Wiggins would not be having the same year here as he's having in Minnesota
He needs the ball.. and he ain't gonna get the ball as much with LBJ, Irving and JR
He's gonna be a really good one...
but Love will only get better and plus, imagine if we still had Bennett?? yuk

PS Wiggins is only averaging 4 rebounds and 2 assists / game

It also comes down to fit. JR Smith is perfect for the SG role because he can drain it from deep. Wiggins still can't do that. So our offense would look very different. Let alone that we wouldn't have a PF right now.

Of course the trades would have been different, if we kept Wiggins, Waiters would have had to be dealt to get a starting PF cuz we would have been starting a combo of TT, James Jones or Anthony Bennett.

Then again... Love probably would have been averaging his 25/15 at Minnesota and we would have traded for him to fill in for PF. So really... nothing would be different.

The trade wasn't even about Love or Wiggins. The only reason that trade was made was for...Lebron.
So to compare them, and say "we should have done this or that" is basically irrelevant.
Im sure we promised Lebron we would trade to get Love when Dan Gilbert met him in Miami. We knew we had the #1 pick.

If we didn't, Lebron may not have come back, I know he wasn't going to spend the last years of his career pinning his championship hopes on the likes of a rookie teenager who was not proven in the NBA.

Hell if we ddnt draft Kyrie, and instead took Derrick Williams (#2 draft pick), Lebron probably wouldn't be here.
We wouldn't have Kyrie, Lebron or Love.
That is what makes watching this team so much fun. Its a special group...and that is rare to find.

I have no idea what to expect of these assholes in the postseason. They're so wildly inconsistent, they could put it all together and sweep their way through the postseason, or probably just as easy play like dog shit just enough to get bounced in the first round. I wouldn't even hazard to make a prediction.

While watching the game yesterday I couldn't help but feel it was like the game after the night at the strip club in Varsity Blues. I'm thinking some guys had a good time after the UK game Saturday. If they are healthy I'll expect anything from the Eastern finals to NBA Champs.

No chance in hell they lose in the first round. These guys are biding their time until the playoffs start. Not concerned at all about their first round prospects.
I wish I could say the same. I do think it's a longshot that they're an early exit, but these guys have shown an alarming ability to play REALLY bad ball at times...even against the worst of teams. But, again, they have also looked absolutely unbeatable at times. Just depends whether it's Dr. Jeckyll or Mr. Hyde come playoff time.

Looking at the standings the Cavs need to find a way to get the Bulls down to 4 and Miami either up to 6 or down to 8. I'd prefer 8 since that means the Cavs beat the Heat and get Boston in the first round. Make the Hawks play the Heat, Bulls, and Cavs to get to the Finals.

outside of one miami heat game, on the heels of a back to back during a bad road trip, when have you seen cleveland lay down for a good team lately? they played down to teams like orlando, brooklyn and philly, while during the same timeframe beating the spurs, golden state, and waxing memphis. i'd hardly be worried about cleveland laying an egg in the first round.

If Wade is out or gimpy the Heat don't scare me at all, but I would still rather not face them just to avoid the Lebron/Heat drama. Even if Wade is 100% as long as the Cavs are healthy I think it would be a 5 game series at most with the Cavs winning a couple in blow outs.

The Bulls and Hawks are the only two teams in the East that I think could give the Cavs a run for their money so I would love to see them in the 1 and 4 spots. On the other hand with the playoff inexperience of this team it might be better if they are tested a couple times before the Finals to prove they are ready for the big stage. Matchups with the Nets and Bulls would be good for the Cavs bigs since they wouldn't be forced to go small like they would with the Bucks or Raptors. Really want to beat the Bulls Sunday, which will all but wrap up the 2 seed.
